How to account and disclose GHG emissions associated with financial activities: the PCAF approach

A workshop spotlighting how financial institutions are reporting on GHG emissions associated with financial activity. Practitioners will present learnings from their disclosure of these emissions, as well as on the benefits realized. Participants will also be able to upskill on the implementation of the PCAF Standard in tailored breakout sessions.

The six breakout rooms will be focussed on the following topics:

  1. Data: (regional) challenges and approaches to overcome them.
    How to deal with the data availability? How could data be collected from clients?
  2. The challenge of including Scope 3 emissions in portfolio emissions: how to obtain high-quality Scope 3 data from portfolio companies and what sectors to focus on?
  3. The SME Challenge: how FIs can support their SME customers/investees to provide better data.
  4. GHG accounting journey: How to get started – Knowledge sharing from new joiners to frontrunners.
  5. FI internal challenges: where do participants see the biggest internal challenges and how could they be overcome?
  6. How can PCAF further support financial institutions?
