Elina Kamenitzer

Head of the Operations Support Department - European Investment Bank

Ms. Elina heads the Operations Support Department at the EIB’s Operations Directorate, overseeing financing. Previously, she established and led the Climate Office, driving the EIB’s transition to the EU Climate Bank and the integration of climate finance. She joined the EIB in 2006 as a senior banker in Germany, later leading the Bank’s lending division and the Corporate Financing team for Central and Northern Europe. Her banking career began in risk management at Nordea Group, followed by a role at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in their Financial Institutions business group, covering diverse markets and financial products.
