Maria Ahlström-Bondestam
Co-founder & Honorary Chair - The Eva Ahlström Foundation
Maria is a 5th gen member of the Finnish Ahlström family whose companies were founded in 1851. Together with 25 female cousins Maria co-founded The Eva Ahlström Foundation and has as Chair actively developed the operations of the family foundation which continues the work for underprivileged families, especially women and children, that her great grandmother started in the late 19th century. In 2020 Maria initiated Ahlström Collective Impact, a unique collaboration between companies, foundations, and stakeholders within the Ahlström Network with the aim to make strategic investments to support the realization of the United Nation’s SDGs in partnership with UNICEF.
