After completing a law degree, Vic Van Vuuren started his career at the South African Department of Justice as a public prosecutor and magistrate. Thereafter, he moved into the private sector and progressed later to executive positions. Mr. Van Vuuren was later appointed as the Chief Operations Officer of the national unified business federation organization – Business Unity South Africa, which he helped establish.
In February 2009, he was appointed as the Director, International Labour Organization for Southern Africa and in January 2016 he was appointed as the Director, Enterprises Department at the International Labour Organization in Geneva.
